Tennessee’s Nick Stone goes from volunteer to donor, providing a true ‘gift of life’
Nick Stone is more than just a diver.
In fact, he’s also a donor. Stone, a senior at the University of Tennessee, joined the Gift of Life Marrow Registry in 2022 while volunteering at a registration drive. He was unaware then that his simple cheek swab would result in him being called on to aid his fellow man with an unforgettable gift. Even more surprising was that when he was summoned, it wouldn’t be for his uncle diagnosed in January, but rather a stranger months later.

Next PDCA Town Hall Set for December 7
The US Professional Diving Coaches Association will host a virtual Town Hall addressing the promotion of collegiate diving on December 7 at 8 p.m. est. Chelsea Ale, US PDCA President, and Aaron Hintz, VP of Membership, will serve as moderators for the discussion. The conversation will tackle how fans, parents, coaches, athletes, and clubs can help promote diving. Hintz will also share insights on the PDCA Coaches Polls & Power Rankings and how they can positively impact coverage of diving, create more engagement, and build credibility for the sport.
These Town Hall events are designed to benefit YOU and we want to ensure they are useful. Krug’s book documents transition to life after 2012 Olympics
Cassidy Krug boasts an impressive
athletic resume that includes two NCAA titles as a senior at Stanford en route to be named NCAA Diver of the Year, 10 USA Diving National Titles, three Pennsylvania high school titles, and ultimately an appearance in the 2012 Olympics where she finished 7th on 3m. While the Olympics were the final chapter in her athletic career, the transition to life after diving led her to her current chapter as author of Resurface: A guide to navigating life’s biggest transitions.
